The craziest thing Angela Simoneaux Poirrier ever did was decide to take ownership of her parents’ company with her husband Joey Poirrier when their third child was only three weeks old. In 2017 Acadian House Design and Renovation became theirs, and her passion has only continued to grow. From streamlined job sites to new employee retirement programs to a sample room that has tripled in size, changes have been a common occurrence at Acadian House, without sacrificing the integrity, ethics, and quality that they are known for. 

“I have my hands in every aspect of the company,” says Poirrier. “I like it that way. There’s nothing that I won’t participate in.” From job site maintenance to quality control to interacting with clients, Poirrier appreciates, and enjoys each aspect of every project. 

With the majority of homes in the Baton Rouge area being over 40 years old, Poirrier is looking forward to the future of the industry and the need for renovation in her hometown. “We want to be ready for the demand. No matter the growth that Acadian House might experience, it is most important to us to maintain the excellence that we’ve had from the very beginning.”
